Until now, I didn't spoke about them, even if I knew the differences. This, because I didn't had any good model to illustrate it.

For the last year, Matra did several modification to the Bagheera. The doors were different, both externally (door handles) or internally (panel). The X received a 2 colour paint scheeme. The engine received a Hall effect distributor and a different carb on the Y2 engines.

It's said that the very last chassis were zinc galvanized. This was a process involving dipping it in a melt zinc bath and was developped for the Murena. About 10 chassis were concerned. Nobody know the exact number but don't believe the legend saying that all the 1980 were galvanized. IT'S WRONG. Most probably the galvanized chassis were not used wen building the cars but as spare parts.

None of the 1980 Bagheera I've seen were galvanized.
